智方便 iAM Smart - A Convenient and Secure Online Service for Hong Kong Citizens
The "iAM Smart" application is a free online service for all Hong Kong Identity Card (HKID Card) holders aged 11 or above. It enables users to authenticate themselves through their mobile phones, log in and use various government and commercial online services with just one digital identity. The app offers two versions - "iAM Smart" and "iAM Smart+". The former version provides authentication, form filling, and personalised notification functions, while the latter version includes digital signing features in addition.
The app allows users to have a single digital identity that enables them to log in to various government and commercial online services without having to manage different usernames and passwords. Users can use the "e-ME" function to store their personalised data, such as name, gender, HKID Card number, date of birth, residential address, and contact phone number, and enjoy the convenience brought by auto form filling and avoid filling in the same data for different applications. The app also allows users to receive personalised notifications from various government online services to keep up with service updates, expiry alerts, and latest information. With "iAM Smart+", users can sign digitally in accordance with the Electronic Transactions Ordinance to process legal documents and procedures online.
